HOME AT LAST combines folk rock with a pinch of jazz and tropical music in a collection of songs about connecting with the adventure of “innerstanding” through love and nature.
Ted’s solid studio band, including New Age pioneer Schwakie Roth on sax and flute, and the incomparable Justin Gubner on drums, enriched the textures, as did April & Rik’s sometimes haunting background vocals and bassist Dan “dueling Starfires” Smith.
Overall, it’s a feel-good album of songs paying homage to the heart, even as they chart through a range of styles.
